Eduardo Benavente

Original photography

Unknown photographer. Undated (circa 1980). Photography : 15x10 cm.

Rare photo of Eduardo Benavente and Rafa Balmaseda, from the Spanish post-punk cult band Parálisis Permanente. Their first album -released in 1981- featured covers in Spanish of David Bowie's "Heroes" (Héroes) and The Stooges's "I Wanna Be Your Dog" (Quiero ser tu Perro). Two years later, Eduardo passed away in a car accident while going to a festival in Zaragoza, and the band came to an end. Parálisis Permanente are still considered the precursors of the dark sound of la Movida.
