Fernando Vijande. 1981. First Edition. Softcover. Unpaginated (100 Pages). Texts in Spanish. Book : VG+.
Scarce. Consider as the catalogue of La Movida, the book had been published on the occasion of the Costus exhibition at the Galería Vijande. Vijande was the art dealer who exhibited Andy Warhol and Robert Mapplethorpe in Madrid in the mid-80’s, and was a major figure in the Spanish post-Franco cultural landscape. Costus -the first catalogue published by the gallery-, compiles texts by Almodóvar or Fabio de Miguel (aka Fanny McNamara) as well as drawings, paintings and photographs. Highly recommended.
